Everyday we receive hundreds of fantastic posts from all of our amazing Creators. That's why each week we want to take some time to spotlight some of our favorite Creator posts from the previous week that we think deserve some extra attention. Welcome to another episode of Fantastic Geeks & Where to Find Them!
If videos aren't quite your thing though, we've also provided you with an article version below. Ready for this? Here are some of our favorite posts from the week that was:
The Geek Awakens
Star Wars is more than just a movie, it’s a cultural phenomenon! For decades, this franchise has driven the masses to the box office and that’s not about to change anytime soon. The final Star Wars trailer was released last week and I’d like to think that most fans took it quite well.
But there’s one burning question on everyone’s mind: Where the Jar Jar is Luke Skywalker?! Aside from a short voice over we heard in the second Star Wars trailer, Luke has pretty much been MIA and this has caused the internet to do what they do best: over. Analyse. Everything!
I mean, why wouldn’t they? Luke Skywalker is one of the most recognizable names in the world. If he’s not showing up in the trailers, then that means J.J.Abrams is keeping him a secret. But Why? Cue the fan theories!
The Lafayette gives us 5 reasons how and why Luke Skywalker could actually be Kylo Ren. This is a popular theory I’ve seen floating around the web, but would JJ have the guts to turn everyone’s favourite Jedi dark? I absolutely hope not.
Okay, hold onto your seats for this one. Because Jeremiah Paul is not only suggesting that a Skywalker has turned to the dark side, he’s saying that it’s the Skywalker you DIDN’T expect. His theory is that princess Leia has given herself to the Sith, and as a result, Luke has left in search of of a way to save his sister. I know we saw Leia in the trailer, but that could all just be an epic twist waiting to happen!
There are so many people out there that want an evil Skywalker, that this movie will sorely disappoint if it doesn’t deliver one. Ian Simpson thinks that not only are Rey and Kylo Ren twins, but that they’re in fact the twin children of Han and Leia. I know Disney said that all of the Star Wars books were no longer canon, but this theory makes the most sense to me out of all of them. It’s very possible that Kylo Ren grew up in the shadow of his more talented sister and turned to the dark side to follow in the footsteps of his grandfather.
So many good theories, but who is the closest to the truth? Guess we have to wait 6 weeks to find out.
Before we go, I wanna take a few moments to acknowledge the Creators that have hit huge readership milestones over the last week.
