Since Jessica Jones really started getting off the ground and casting amazing talent, it was clear that this show was going to be among the most anticipated of the year. Now that we're in the final stretch before binge-watching bliss—only four weeks away!—Netflix is teasing us with beautiful promotional materials of some colorful characters.

Jessica Jones gets the same awesome treatment that Daredevil pioneered, complete with a motion poster for one maniacal villain played by David Tennant.

Here's Kilgrave in all his purple glory

That is, if "glory" can still apply to someone who might just be the most terrifying antagonist introduced in the Marvel Universe. I mean, sure, Thanos is intimidating and the other big bads are more imposing, but none of them affected me the way The Purple Man does. And that impression is just based on a trailer!

With Marvel's boots-on-the-ground approach to their TV superheroes, the stakes just become so tangible, and it's hard not to feel an emotional connection for these characters. In short, I'm gonna be a wreck when I finally see what Kilgrave can do, and I can't wait to see how dark the story really goes.

Maintaining the awesome painterly quality of the still poster, here's the full one in motion!
