If you ever thought Daryl could become a bigger focal point for AMC, you were right! AMC (Production company of TWD) has now officially ordered an unscripted six-episode long series of Norman Reedus to ride around America and exploring it's motorcycle culture.
To be named 'Ride with Norman Reedus', Left/Right Productions will follow Norman through hour-long epsiodes as he and a friend explores different cities on their motorbikes, looking at different tattoo parlors, bars, restaurants, and bike shops. It's said that Norman's companions will vary from local bikers to artists and actors!
President of Development for AMC and Sundance TV's Joel Stillerman said:
“There is nobody more passionate about motorcycles than Norman Reedus... He is an avid rider and aficionado who is deeply immersed in motorcycle culture. There is also nobody more fun to hang out with. This show will bring those two elements together for a weekly ride into the incredible world of motorcycles and the people who live and breathe them.”
The program is hoping to air sometime in 2016, but hold your horses! Apparently the company (AMC) scrapped two unscripted shows (like this one) last year as they're wanting to put more money and resources into their drama series's.
But nevertheless, Reedus still expressed his excitement:
“I’m incredibly excited and thankful to AMC for giving me the opportunity to share a passion of mine with our fans, and hopefully a whole new audience. I had a lot of fun filming and exploring, and I hope it shows,”
I personally think this sounds great and I believe that Norman is a great fit for hosting a show of this nature. What do you think about this new show? Will you be checking it out?
