We're only four episodes into The Vampire Diaries Season 7 but the momentum certainly isn't slowing down any. This week's episode I Carry Your Heart With Me kept the mysterious necromancy theme going, and next week's Live Through This promises to perhaps add even more questions to the growing list, whilst perhaps finally answering a few...

It's All Go For Alaric

We saw back in Episode 1 of Season 7 that heartbroken Alaric Saltzman (Matt Davis) is planning on using the Phoenix Stone to bring his ex-witchy love Josette "Jo" Laughlin (Jodi Lyn O’Keefe) back from the dead, and last week's episode confirmed that this is in fact possible despite the dangerous side affects. The stone did work on Oscar (Tim Kang), but he wasn't quite the same... And by not quite the same we mean going on a murderous ripper-like rampage

But time is running out for Jo as her body deteriorates and can't be kept in the morgue any longer, and we saw life return to her body as her eyes flickered open - but was this a good idea after what we've seen the Phoenix Stone do? And what does this mean for her character next episode? According to Entertainment Weekly, Episode 5 will see Alaric forced into a tricky situation regarding the future of both Jo and Bonnie Bennett (Kat Graham), so there's that to look forward to as well.

Speaking of Bonnie...

Live Through This promises to address details of Bonnie’s future in the three-year flash forward. Graham, who plays the role of Bonnie, spoke to TVLine about the next episode, teasing a bit of "bad girl" Bonnie whilst also hinting towards a big romantic revelation. Exciting stuff!

"The inspiration behind future Bonnie was sort of Helena Bonham Carter in Fight Club - a little more of a bad girl, as well as someone who’s hiding a secret. It’s very different from the other flash-forwards you’ll see. Oh, and this one has the huge reveal of who I end up with!"

Additionally Graham teased a specific Lillian "Lily" Salvatore (Annie Wersching) related narrative twist, which will somehow throw Bonnie and Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) for a loop:

"We don’t find out everything that Lily has done, and all the ways she’s effed everybody over, until Episode 5. There’s a huge reveal for Bonnie and Damon in that way."

A reveal for Bonnie and Damon related to Lily's actions? What can that mean? And since it looks like we're going to get a definitive answer next week, it's your last chance to speculate about that, as well as the identity and nature of Bonnie's mystery man. Tell us your theories in the comments below!
