Star Wars: The Force Awakens is only less than two months away! We may think we know so much about the movie, but really we still know so little about it. Lucasfilm and Disney are being very smart about what they want and don't want to reveal. What they have revealed has barely given us an idea of what the movie is even about. Since it's Star Wars, the description of the film is just saying how it's another Star Wars movie featuring the original cast. There are so many classic trilogy characters returning, but there is another big one we are going to see.

This is a rumor going around that was reported by Star Wars News Net. They claim to know someone involved with dubbing the film for international release, and they said:

I know someone who works in the ****** media (dubbing) who assured me that there was indeed a scene with Yoda in The Force Awakens.

Yoda is in the movie?! This is great news and can confirm my hope that the force ghosts are in the movie. Notably, Hayden Christensen was also on set for Episode 8, so perhaps he could have also shot a scene for this movie. This could mean a return of Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi!

What does this exactly mean?

It could be a few things. One possible theory is that the three ghosts (we see above) are talking to Luke where he is hiding out or whatever else he is doing. Yoda would give Luke some advice, along with Anakin and Obi-Wan. When the new characters and Han Solo find Luke, they will be able to meet the ghosts, or will Finn only be able to see them?

In the Star Wars universe, they never went into depth of ghosts. Can only force users see them and can only force users become a ghost themselves? Episode 7 has the opportunity to answer these questions so we can finally find out for ourselves.

Another way of how Yoda could show up is in either a vision of Luke's or a flashback. I think both are very possible. Luke could have a vision of seeing Yoda dying (along with Ben and his father) or there could be a flashback during the Clone Wars when Yoda was alive.

One thing popped to mind and that is the Knights of Ren seem to give off an Old Republic vibe. What if they were an Old Republic group and there is a flashback of them being shut down (for Kylo Ren to bring it back to life). Yoda was alive during the Old Republic or before Episode 1, so he could definitely show up!

Will Yoda and the force ghosts return for Episode 7?

This would be really cool and I do believe it will happen. Frank Oz returned to voice Yoda for Star Wars: Rebels and he said he would be up for the role again... hmm.

Will Yoda return for Episode 7? Tell me below!
