Both known and forgotten horror films of the 20th Century

Truly a horror classic, this is probably one of the more well known holiday slasher flicks, we are greeted with everything that we fear about this day, as well as some old urban legends. The story is about the breakout of a man named Michael Myers, who makes his way back to his hometown, to stalk a teenage girl named Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis). I won't explain the whole plot, since it is an older film. First coming out in the late 1970's, the beginning of the slasher film era, we are presented with a horror film based on the older urban legend about a babysitter being attacked, while babysitting two young children. A frightening story brought to life by the horror genius John Carpenter and Debra Hill. With a truly fantastic storyline, awesome acting, and great visual effects for the time and low budget, it is truly a horror classic that has stood the test of time for the past 36 years, and will continue to do so for many more to come.
