I love movies, music, TV shows. Writing about them or creating stories is my passion and dream.

In this day and age movie magic works in a way that allows actors of any age to look pretty young despite their actual age. For this particular article, I believe movie magic can make this a reality; however, I believe this should have been done years ago. It’s been fifteen years since Dreamworks Studios released the animated film The Road to El Dorado.

A lot of you may not remember the film, but it was a fun filled adventure about two con-men who stumbled upon the lost city of gold known as El Dorado. First, they have to escape the gamblers they ripped off and then Captain Cortez himself after they stow away on his ship. When they land on a sandy beach after being out at sea in a little row boat for what appears to be days, they then embark on the journey to the city of Gold. Once there, they con their way into the city by pretending to be Gods. While trying to keep their con going, Miguel starts to bond with the city people and his greedy little heart starts to soften. He realizes that what they are doing is wrong, but Tulio doesn’t want to hear it. Long story short, the film ends with Miguel and Tulio saving El Dorado from being found by Captain Cortez.

There hasn’t been talk of any kind of sequel for this film, but frankly I don’t think it needs one. Instead, I think it needs a live action counterpart. In fact, I had hoped a live action counterpart would have been done by now. That being said, the two roles that I’m most concerned about are Miguel and Tulio because I believe that if a live action counterpart were to be made, these two roles would have to have the best two people to be cast. My choices are Robert Downey, Jr. and Neil Patrick Harris.

Why do I think this? Well, for starters, the level of sass both actors possess is off the charts. If RDJ can make Tony Stark look like a god, then he can definitely play the role of Tulio. Neil Patrick Harris, although I’ve never seen him in anything besides The Smurfs, I believe could mirror that sass next to RDJ. The clip below shows exactly why I think RDJ and NPH would be perfect for the roles.

As you can see from the greatest moments between Miguel and Tulio, RDJ and NPH would be perfect because it all comes down to the level of sass that these two actors possess. What do you think? Would you like to see Robert Downey, Jr. and Neil Patrick Harris as Miguel and Tulio? Or would rather they collaborate on a different film as long as they act together in a film?
