The Nightmare Before Christmas has got to be one of my favorite animations. I adore stop-motion, not only because I appreciate how much time and effort goes in to making them, but there is so much more life to them than other animations.

When I first watched this film, I remember wanting to be Sally so much, and I'm sure I'm not the only one there! She was rebellious, caring, sweet, and I wanted her and Jack to be together and get their happy ending.

So, in celebration of it being Halloween, I thought to take my inspiration for all things spooky today and create Sally's portrait, but with a realistic twist!

I created the portrait using watercolors, polychromo pencils and acrylics on Bockingford cold pressed paper. Thanks so much for looking, I hope you enjoy the portrait and have a Happy Halloween!
