Nathaniel Marston has been critically injured after a car accident and he could be left paralyzed by the devastating crash.

Best known for his stint on the ABC soap opera One life to Live, 40-year-old Marston was involved in a serious collision near Reno, Nevado on October 30, and Facebook posts from his worried mother suggest that he could be paralyzed from the neck down. The post from Elizabeth Jackson reads:

“Please pray for my son Nathaniel Marston, he was in a car accident last night and is in the intensive care on life support. Back and neck broken in several places. Other internal injuries. Please pray that he will recover and walk again."

Jackson took the time to update friends and family members early on Sunday morning when she wrote that doctors had told her:

"In all likely hood if he lives he will be paralyzed from the neck down and will not breathe without a ventilator machine."

Eager to dispel rumors about her son possibly driving under the influence, Marston's mother also wrote that he was sober at the time of the accident, she explained:

"Just spoke to highway patrol and tribal police. In case rumor mill gets going. Nate was sober according to cops."

Marston also played Eddie Silva on As the World Turns before picking up the role of Michael McBain on One Life to Live. He left the soap in 2007.
