Besides hangovers, a lot of dancing in shoes that were too tight and old traces of body paint being stuck where old traces of body paint probably shouldn't be stuck, a lot of awesomeness was to be had this Halloween weekend all over the country.
But one of the definite highlights of the ghastly weekend came in the shape of a coming together of bonafide heroes. The grouping we've all been waiting for, deep down in our hopes and hearts. This weekend saw Deadpool and the X-Men coalesce. Well, kind of.
Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds hit the streets in the famous red and black suit of the Merc with a Mouth, and hung out with a bunch of kids dressed up as Storm, Mystique, Beast, Wolverine, Magneto and Cyclops, and snapped a pic with the lucky youngsters. Don't they sure as heck look the part?!
In typical Reynolds fashion, the star tweeted the image with a super clever witticism. Check it out:
This is ridiculously adorable, but it also raises quite the pressing issue: when are Deadpool and the X-Men actually going to team up on screen? Can it happen soon, Fox? Can it? That'd be real nice, thanks. But until that happens, we'll have to make do with Deadpool alone on Feb. 12th!
