With a universe as intertwined as the Marvel Cinematic Universe's, one would expect crossovers all the time -- just like in the comics. So when Netflix and Marvel Studios released the Daredevil series earlier this year, a whole other part of the universe was unlocked. Netflix's newest installation into the MCU, Jessica Jones, is almost upon us. With Luke Cage being promoted as a semi-prominent character in the series, people are starting to wonder whether or not we will be seeing the already established avocado in law, Matt Murdoch a.k.a. Daredevil himself.
In an article originally published over on Screencrush, it is stated:
"Jon Schnepp at Collider offered at least some loose confirmation that Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock would make an appearance over the course of Jessica Jones’ initial season."
He goes on to give a more promising statement:
"You’re definitely going to see Matt Murdock in Jessica Jones. That’s a fact. He’s in it. I don’t know how they interact, but he’s in the series."
It is unclear whether not that is as Daredevil in his new costume or as a fellow lawyer. It is also possible that we will see three of the Defenders on the screen at the same time, before the announced series has even begun production. And so, as Marvel loves to do within its MCU, it makes sure to use the heck out of their characters and make sure that they all get the necessary love.
Jessica Jones will be available November 20 only on Netflix.
"Ever since her short-lived stint as a Super Hero ended in tragedy, Jessica Jones has been rebuilding her personal life and career as a hot-tempered, sardonic, badass private detective in Hell's Kitchen, New York City. Plagued by self-loathing, and a wicked case of PTSD, Jessica battles demons from within and without, using her extraordinary abilities as an unlikely champion for those in need... especially if they're willing to cut her a check."
