Here I've compiled a list of characters that were killed off during the run of a series. We're going to catch up with some familiar faces and find out what they are up to now.

Joffrey Baratheon - Game Of Thrones (Jack Gleeson)

Yes, we all hated King Joffrey and was glad he died painfully in front of his cursed mother Cersei Lannister. However, the 23 year old actor Jack Gleeson according to many in Hollywood is actually a nice guy. Did you know he was the little boy in Batman Begins who saw Batman in the Narrows? Remember Batman gave him a bat-gadget to remember him by? Well, our boy Jack is producing a stage show involving puppets called Bears in Space. That's right, I kid you not! The evil King plays with puppets now.

Dr. George "007" O'Malley - Grey's Anatomy (TR Knight)

Remember poor George O'Malley. He married and divorced Callie Torres (Sara Ramirez) after she found out he cheated on her with fellow Doctor Izzy Stephens (Katherine Heigl). He gets "left back" from the resident program after failing the test, but he gets lucky enough to land a one night stand with Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) who then turns around and says it was a mistake. Yea, it was that bad. Finally, he decides to follow in the footsteps of Dr. Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) and joins the US Army, only to get run over by a bus trying to save someone's life. Rumors and reports online circulated that there was tension on the set between 42-year old TR Knight and some of his fellow cast mates, which ultimately caused him to publicly come out as gay. Knight told TV Guide, "Leaving Grey's Anatomy was not an easy decision for me to make. I am extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to play this character and will miss my fellow cast and crew very much. I continue to wish them the very best, and wholeheartedly thank all of the fans who have supported me and the show with such passion and enthusiasm." T.R. Knight is making his return to television, on Hulu's event series 11/22/63.

Dale Horvath - The Walking Dead (Jeffrey DeMunn)

The voice of reason in AMC's The Walking Dead, Dale will go down as one of the most beloved characters on the show. No one can argue the fact that for the first two seasons, he provided the soul for the show. He was ambushed by a stray walker and mauled. Killed via mercy death by his friend and our favorite redneck Daryl, his end was a shock to viewers of the show. 68-year-old Buffalo NY native Jeffrey Demunn still does bit roles here and there, most recently on NBC's The Blacklist as T. Earl King VI.

Bobby Singer - Supernatural (Jim Beaver)

Supernatural, one of the longest running shows on the CW, also had one of the most beloved characters on the network. Bobby Singer, hunter and mentor to the Winchester Boy's played a central role during the best years of Supernatural. Killed during the battle against the Leviathans, Bobby came back as a ghost for a short bit, until the boys had to finally send him off. Then it was discovered that he was imprisoned in Hell, until Sam Winchester freed him and sent him to heaven. We saw him one last time during the fight against Metatron, until Angels captured him and he disappeared. The 68-year-old actor Jim Beaver can be seen on the web series The New Adventures of Peter and Wendy.

Moira Queen - Arrow (Susanna Thompson)

Although she had a streak of evil, no one can argue that she loved her children. Moira sacrificed her life at the hands of Deathstroke to save Oliver and Thea Queen, in one of the most heart wrenching scenes on Arrow that year. 57-year-old Susanna Thompson was seen on NCIS as Army Colonel Hollis Mann this past year.

So there you have it my friends, just a few characters that were killed off their shows during its run. Some were expected, some were not. Either or, I bet you were shocked when that moment came. Let me know which death shocked you the most, or touched your heart. 'Til next time true believers!
