What makes every superhero movie good is the villain of course, The Dark Knight (2008) for example, everyone even if they weren't familiar with Batman characters loved the Joker.

#5 Michael Shannon's General Zod from Man of Steel (2013)

"I WILL FIND HIM!"
"I WILL FIND HIM!"

So on the number 5 spot I put Michael Shannon's General Zod (not forgetting about Terence Stamp I just most remember Shannon's portrayal) because of the way the acting was Shannon really made you hate him, and that's the way supervillains are supposed to be.

The way he went after Superman and the part when he's talking to Lara

"I will find him!!!"

You could feel the hate in him you could see it in his eyes and that's why he is on the number 5 spot.

#4 Danny DeVito's Penguin from Batman Returns (1992)

"I'm an animal, cold-blooded!"
"I'm an animal, cold-blooded!"

Tim Burton did a fantastic job with the batman series too bad about Joel Schu- wait, never mind that I don't even want to think about him, if you don't know what I'm talking about, which most people do, just watch Batman & Robin and you'll understand. Anyway I think Batman Returns is really great.

Michael Keaton was a great Batman, Michelle Pfeiffer was a amazing Selina Kyle, but was the best to me was Danny DeVito as the penguin. I think the way Tim Burton made him, dark and gross, was just enough dark and gross that made the penguin better. Danny DeVito is a good actor, and luckily he kind of looks like him (no offense) DeVito played really good because he was able to act kind of gross and did his pervert personality pretty good. That's why he's on this list.

#3 Jack Nicholson's Joker from Batman (1989)

"Ever dance with the devil in the pale moon light?"
"Ever dance with the devil in the pale moon light?"

We all know Jack Nicholson basically played himself in this movie and kind of acted like he did in The Shining (1980) the reason he's on this list is because he just played THE Joker he even looked comic accurate and wasn't cheesy at all. He played psycho and scary but was still goofy like Mark Hamil's version.

Nicholson did a outstanding job and still today is the joker and is the only joker that listens to Prince music.

#2 Heath Ledger's Joker from The Dark Knight (2008)

"Why so serious"
"Why so serious"

Yes here he is everyone's favorite joker I know people think he should be number one but this is just my opinion. Anyway, Heath Ledger was awesome (R.I.P Heath Ledger) and he is just amazing.

Okay so Aaron Eckhart was a good Two-Face but Ledger takes the cake. He had a good psycho personality but he was really smart in this. He was more of a anarchy guy than complete psycho. For example in The Killing Joke the joker seemed smarter than usual because he says he is trying to prove a point which is like Ledger's portrayal. I also like how he was just so annoying and he just aggrovated Batman and didn't care and Batman could of snapped (well he did shove the Joker's face in the window) and he proved great points had great quotes and he is the man who destroyed Gotham from the inside (Hey I know Ultron that's what you said.)

#1 Gene Hackman's Lex Luthor from Superman (1978)

"I spared no expense to make you feel right at home
"I spared no expense to make you feel right at home

Hackman is Lex Luthor and he gave Superman a challenge. I like how he wasn't ever killed off like most villains do now. So that showed that he really was his arch enemy.

From I to IV he was great supervillain and Hackman acted Luthor's arrogant and greedy personality great and I think he is the greatest supervillain in a movie.
