One social media user was sent home with their tail between their legs yesterday, called out for being a misogynist and general asshole by Ariana Grande and Modern Family actress Ariel Winters. In another case of body shaming, the anonymous user posted a comment online which pitted the two ladies off against each other.

Although Grande and Winters's paths don't normally cross professionally, the pair found themselves connected via the comment and used it as an example to tackle blatant objectification while promoting a positive body attitude.

Posting the anonymous post and her response on Instagram, Ariana started, 'Sigh...tweets, comments, statements like this are not okay. about anyone!!!'

"We live in a day and age where people make it IMPOSSIBLE for women, men, anyone to embrace themselves exactly how they are."

Sentiments which were 100% backed by Ariel Winter, who reposted Ariana's comment with the addition:

arielwinter: Thank you @arianagrande for posting this❤️ I love the message you're putting out there. I especially believe in today's world we all need to stick together- I believe in EMPOWERING other women and not putting them down. I celebrate everyone for who they are because that is what makes them beautiful. You ARE beautiful.

Grande and Winter are sending an awesome message here and hopefully, if more celebrities (men and women, and everyone in between) stands up to body shaming it'll become a thing of the past.
