The world of Video Games is very different from that of movies. When we hear of a sequel, a remake, or a reboot of a film franchise, we're generally found rolling our eyes (except when it comes to the upcoming Star Wars movies, they're a god send). But in the realm of gaming, they're generally met with excitement and praise!

We love to experience classic games in new forms and all in the comforting space of one console. Hence why everyone lost their collective sh*% when Square Enix unveiled their plans for a Final Fantasy 7 Remake for the PS4 and presumably the XBOX One. But is there another classic game that would have received the same response?

Final Fantasy 7: Do These Classic Games Deserve A Remake?

Final Fantasy 7
Final Fantasy 7

The Final Fantasy series is adored by millions throughout the world. Therefore, the idea of revisiting what many consider to be the series' greatest game - and what some consider to be one of the greatest games of all time - was something that has everyone excited. But what would you take in place of this game? Do you have an ultimate Remake fantasy? Is Final fantasy 7 as good as it gets? Let us know where you stand in the comments as we look at some classic games that deserve to be revisited in any form!

Chrono Trigger

Chrono Trigger is basically the epitome of a genre. This game has everything that you could possibly want from an RPG, and anyone who can't understand why certain gamers like these kind of games need to engage with it. Its characters are beautiful, the gameplay is deeply satisfying, and it has one of gaming's greatest soundtracks. This is every JRPG element working in total harmony.

Silent Hill 2

If someone can recapture the genius of Silent Hill 2 and transport it to the modern horror genre, I'll love them forever. This is undoubtedly a game with one of the strongest narratives in the art form. It was terrifying, intriguing, shocking, and a marvel to play. After the loss of Silent Hills earlier this year, a proper Remake of this classic is all we can really hope for. But would you pick this release over that of Final Fantasy 7?

Deus Ex

Regarded as the greatest PC game of all time, Deus Ex is a game, and franchise, that is overlooked far too often. The original gave us a sense of freedom that almost no title in the last decade can eclipse. Its areas were vast, its plot was exciting, and if brought into the future in its exact form, the level of challenge and innovation would still stand tall. I can't wait for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, but a remake of the original but would be a satisfying thing to see.

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night

One of the greatest games of all time! The recent Castlevania games, the Lords of Shadow titles, have been pretty great! Or at least I've enjoyed them. But they haven't managed to recapture the sense of place or difficulty that games like Symphony of the Night have granted us over the years. I can't imagine how beautiful a remake of this game could be, and I doubt Konami are in any way interested in doing it, but I'd be endlessly thankful for the effort!

Have any other games that you'd love to see get the remake treatment after or other than the Final Fantasy 7 Remake? If so, then let us know in the comments, dear gamers!
