Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Pinterest... when it comes to social media, it seems the list is endless these days and most of us are in on the hype.

Yet, the following 11 celebrities have decided not to buy into the craze, choosing to eschew social media all together for numerous reasons. Let's find out who, and why:

1. Jennifer Aniston

"Kids aren't speaking to each other anymore. I was with friends of ours from Vermont and their two kids don't have an iPhone or an iPad. They were 9 and 12 and were the most interesting young adults. Seeing other kids on their [phones] all the time, it makes me sad."

2. Kristen Stewart

"Twitter f*cks me over every day of my life. Because people go, 'I'm sitting next to Kristen Stewart right now' and then they show up. I see people on their phones and I just want to take these cookies and throw them. It's like 'Get off your f*cking phone and get a life!' I get so mad. It's like you're trampling on someone's life without any regard. And it's rampant. Everyone can do it now. Buy a camera and you're paparazzi; get a Twitter account and you're an informant. It's so annoying."

3. Daniel Radcliffe

"I don't have Twitter and I don't have Facebook, and I think that makes things a lot easier because if you go on Twitter and tell everybody what you're doing moment to moment and then claim you want a private life, then no one is going to take that request seriously."

4. Scarlett Johansson

"I'm always surprised that certain actors have Twitter accounts. I guess they use it in a way that works for them. But I'd rather that people had less access to my personal life. If I could keep it that way, I'd be a happy lady."

5. Benedict Cumberbatch

"Just listen to how much I talk. I've already talked over our time and tweeting is about being pithy. I think tweeting would take so many hours of editing I'd be lost for doing my job."

6. Emma Stone

"It seems like everyone's cultivating their lives on Instagram or on different forms of social media, and what pictures look best of their day."

7. Daniel Craig

"I am bloody not [on Facebook]. And I'm not on Twitter either... 'Woke up this morning, had an egg'? What relevance is that to anyone? Social networking? Just call each other up and go to the pub and have a drink."

8. Jennifer Lawrence

"Everybody was talking yesterday about Twitter and Instagram and Tumblr. It was really confusing me and overwhelming me. I literally started losing my breath."

And just to prove how tech-unsavvy she really is, J Law asked:

"What’s Pinterest? I don’t have it. I know by the time I get it, it’ll be something else. I bought a CD case less than a year ago."

9. George Clooney

"If you're famous, I don't – for the life of me – I don't understand why any famous person would ever be on Twitter. Why on God's green earth would you be on Twitter?"

And if that wasn't enough, he also added:

"I'd rather have a rectal examination on live TV by a fellow with cold hands than have a Facebook page."

10. Kate Winslet

"It has a huge impact on young women's self-esteem, because all they ever do is design themselves for people to like them. And what comes along with that? Eating disorders. And that makes my blood boil. And is the reason we don't have any social media in our house."

11. Emma Thompson

"I'd rather have root canal treatment for the rest of my life than join Twitter."
