Alright so Doctor Strange is shaping up to be one of the next smash hits for Marvel. With that being said, not much is known as of now about the specifics of the movie. We know that Benedict Cumberbatch will more than likely be perfect in the role of Doctor Strange and we have an interesting decision to cast Tilda Swinton as the famed Ancient one.

Doctor Strange is currently filming in Nepal and yesterday we got our first look at Cumberbatch on set. Today, we have even better set photos that are very revealing about how the movie will shape up!

Got to love the beard!

If you don't know the history behind Doctor Strange, these pictures don't reveal very much but to comic book fans they speak volumes. Dr. Stephen Strange was an extremely greedy neurosurgeon who injured his hand due to a car accident which rendered him unable to do his work.

After blowing all his savings he becomes homeless after refusing to teach to make a living. His overall attire and unshaven look definitely this being the case and that is not all!

Look at his hand!

As you can see, Stephen's hand is wrapped in some sort of gauze which indicates he has some type of injury. In the character's comic book origin, Strange goes on a quest in search of a hermit called the Ancient One (Tilda Swinton) as he thinks that he (in this case she) can mend his hand so he can resume his practice.

Cumberbatch definitely looks like he is search of something, or someone. It may have been a bit obvious that they would go into the origin of Doctor Strange but it is great to see that they are borrowing so heavy from the comics.

The streets of Nepal look great and it really reminds me of the comics when Stephen Strange is in search of The Ancient One in the Himalayas. I have a feeling that this is going to really great!

Benedict Cumberbatch really does look homeless!

In the comics, Stephen Strange had to turn to doing alley way surgical procedures in order to get by and he definitely looks homeless here. The rugged beard, dirty clothes, and the backpack really make this look believable. I have a really great feeling about this as Doctor Strange will probably be one of Marvel's centerpieces for years to come!
