Quantum of Solace is a 2006 action adventure film, it is directed by Marc Forster and is the second film in the Daniel Craig Bond saga. Following the death of Vesper Lynd, James Bond (Daniel Craig) makes his next mission personal. The hunt for those who blackmailed his lover leads him to ruthless businessman Dominic Greene (Mathieu Amalric), a key player in the organization which coerced Vesper. Bond learns that Greene is plotting to gain total control of a vital natural resource, and he must navigate a minefield of danger and treachery to foil the plan. Daniel Craig returns as the hard-core James Bond, and he is fantastic, his dialogue is awesome and he is super wicket. Olga Kurylenko is a decent choice for the Bond -girl, and i mean her acting, i felt the relationship between Bond and Camille was rushed and stupid. Judi Dench as M really stood out to me, her performance was great and she was very committed to her role. Overall, the acting was pretty decent, nobody else really stood out in a way that i feel i have to mention them, but most everyone is decent.

The direction of Marc Forster is not bad, but its not good either, he puts the film in a direction that doesn't work for it self. I cant praise the film editing or the camera movement, some scenes where Bond was running, the camera was moving in a very annoying way. The cinematography is not too noticeable, while i don't like the camera movement, i did like the way it zoomed in at cars or something like that.

The film had great action sequences, unfortunately, the action sequences started to drag at times, for example when there was a car chase or Bond chasing after someone, it was cool when it started, but it felt like director Marc Forster wanted the run-time well over an hour and a half, and he does succeed at that. The pacing was not good, I began to get bored at times, and was checking how long the movie had left until it was over.

The plot definitely needs some work, with all of its confusion and spy film cliches, the film has OK writing, but it began to get weird and unrealistic at times throughout it, for example, when Bond was hanging upside down and was trying to reach for the gun, and then he got it and shot right on time, it was pretty cool, but unrealistic, it felt fake. The villain of the film was not good, even Bond himself (as the hero... kind of) was more bada*s than the villain.

Quantum of Solace has great action and good acting. It has bad pacing, dull felling and a bad villain, but it's overall quite entertaining, and makes for an 'OK-Decent' watch, and while i don't think this film is decent enough to give over a 6/10, i still recommend you watch it if you have a phone to do something on while the film is playing, and look up at the screen every time an action scene comes on.
