Inequality is growing at an outstanding rate. We have wars. We have famine. However, all of these issues are insignificant. Why?

Because Kim Kardashian Photoshops her Instagram pictures and people are losing their sh*t over it.

Kim uploaded an image, removed it, and then uploaded one which is entirely different. Or completely the same. It depends if you need your eyes tested or not.

Spot the difference

The above Tweet shows the changes that were made.

Now before people lose their minds, let's consider two things. Firstly, is there really much difference between a little tweak on Photoshop, and adding a filter? And everyone loves filters. Filters are great.

Secondly, this is a woman who makes a living based on her appearance, like it or not. All magazine covers are airbrushed. The argument of the beauty industry making anything less than perfect not good enough is for another day. But overall, I think we need a little perspective.

I'm proud of my curves

Kim has previously spoken about her appearance and airbrushing on her blog, after unaltered images surface from a magazine shoot in 2009. She said:

“I’m proud of my body and curves, and this photo coming out is probably helpful for everyone to see that just because I am on the cover of a magazine doesn’t mean I am perfect.”

And I must say, I'm with her on that. What's the big deal?
