Disney is famous for its lack of mother figures. From The Little Mermaid to Aladdin, our princesses have to go through their journeys motherless or, for those who really got the short end of the stick, with an evil stepmother thrown into the mix.

Lucky for us, CollegeHumor visual development artist Amy Kim created some awesome comic panels envisioning what it would look like had some of these ladies had their mother around the castle. Check out these illustrations showing what some of our favorite Disney movies would look like if the Princesses had Moms.

1. The Little Mermaid

Don't worry, Triton, it's just a crush! She's only a teenager, after all.

2. Aladdin

Listening to this advice would render the entire movie practically irrelevant.

4. Pocahontas

Harsh words from mamma, but sometimes they're the ones you need to hear the most.

4. Cinderella

Weirdly specific, Cinderella.
