This was a refreshing new wind of an old classic from my childhood I loved it!!!!!!!
When I wrote about this movie a year ago I had my doubts because Fox was the company behind this film. Even though the trailer caught my attention I just knew that Fox would somehow screw it up due to how they have done earlier movies that were based on comics & cartoons I grew up to. But I have to say Fox pulled this one off FLAWLESSLY without breaking a sweat. As I sat in the theater with my 2 & 4 yr. old I found myself feeling like a kid again. Bringing back all the memories of watching Charlie Brown and the gang. Snoopy and Woodstock and all of their adventures. Everything I loved about The Peanuts was brought to life in this new movie for a younger generation. I can hear my children talking about these beloved characters for years to come. Now that they have experienced this for the first time and loved it, I can now introduce the to the Snoopy & The Peanuts of my generation. The story line was perfect all the way to the end. From Snoopy fighting his nemesis The Red Barron in the clouds on his doghouse
to Charlie Brown's self doubt and becoming the hero in the end.
I can say that if Fox took this much pride in making movies based off childhood characters then they would have my up most respect when I see their name behind the film. This film for me hit it out of the park with a 10. It was as if the original writers from the films that I watch growing up were behind the script for this new incarnation. I would say that this is a great movie to watch with your kids. I must say Snoopy's crazy antics kept both me & my kids laughing till the end. I hope that there are more Peanuts movies to come, if they keep the chemistry from this film pouring into any future projects. I honestly can say that I left the theater more excited then my kids. Fox & Blue Sky job well done!!!
