Spectre is nothing like 007's last outing, Skyfall, In the sense that it isn't really that serious or dark, and has almost no tension. Although it was fantastic filmmaking, I wasn't that big of a Skyfall fan myself, mainly because of those things. For that reason, I liked Spectre better. By no means is it a better movie at a technical or analytical standpoint though. It sticks to the roots of the old bond films, as it is very silly and fun. It does lack in storytelling and a great villain (Christoph Waltz was great- in the 20 minutes he was actually in it) but definitely is a blast to watch.
