Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron is a 2002 American animated western drama. Produced by DreamWorks Animation and released by DreamWorks Pictures. Spirit was released on May 24, 2002 made $122.6 million. It's a truly, wonderful, beautiful, heartwarming and touching story that came to life on the big screen. It has it's success, but other DreamWorks Animated Movies became more successful and it's recognition.

Highly Successful DreamWorks Animated Movies

The fact that, other DreamWorks animated movies, such as the franchises of Shrek, Kung Fu Panda, How To Train Your Dragon and Madagascar is adored and loved by fans everywhere and it's successful recognition

Shrek franchise made total: $2,955,807,005

How To Train Your Dragon franchise made total: $1,113,788,694

Kung Fu Panda franchise made total: $1,297,436,841

Madagascar franchise made total: $1,883,502,299

Despite how much these franchises made, and considering the fact that because of how much it made, making it popular and very successful. I know, it's the way it is when franchises hit the box office, win awards and made money successfully. In my opinion, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron certainly needs more success, popularity and recognition it deserves.

Other movies franchises like; Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, Jurassic Park, Halloween, Scream and so many others have gain their success by entertaining fans and by fans giving feedback and love to their favorite movie franchise. And that's what Spirit deserves.

Reviews And Success

"Uncluttered by comic supporting characters and cute sidekicks, Spirit is more pure and direct than most of the stories we see in animation - a fable I suspect younger viewers will strongly identify with." - Roger Ebert

"One of the most beautiful and exciting animated features ever made." - Leonard Maltin

"The Best Animated Story Since The Lion King" - Reel Source News

"An Instant Classic." - Clay Smith of Access Hollywood

And I totally agree with that, considering that Spirit is a unique movie with traditional hand-drawn animation and computer animation. It turned out very well done. Spirit has won five awards and has nine nominations. Spirit became a success. It was released on DVD November 20, 2002 definitely a movie worth watching over and over again.

My Experience When I First Saw Spirit

My sister Natalie and I were spending time with our dad, and went to see Spirit in theaters for the first time. I was ten at the time, I remember watching in the on the big screen, and I was blown away, I absolutely loved it. When it came out on DVD I was watching it a lot. Spirit made an impact in my life, it's a part of my childhood and in my adulthood. I can relate to Spirit personally in my life, even the story, what he feels, what he goes through and to the songs and his personality. I strongly feel that Spirit deserves more recognition, it's such an inspiring, heartwarming and breathtaking movie that moves you and can relate to. It's a big part of my life. Spirit deserves to have a sequel, and I know Spirit fans out there who just adore and love this movie, who want to see a sequel and there should be. As I said before, Spirit deserves more recognition of how brilliantly well done the movie is, an amazing, adventurous journey. And heroic character anyone can relate to

Who Remembers Spirit?

Spirit gained it's success when it was released in 2002, years go by and these new DreamWorks animated movies are more recognized by the audience today. It feels like in this generation that no one really remembers Spirit. I know some people out there who do remember Spirit, especially those who are fans. And I want Spirit to get it's recognition it truly deserves. If you remember Spirit, comment below, thank you.
