Faith-based books, films and television shows continues to dominate the market thanks to a growing consumer appetite for spiritually-based entertainment.
I think this subject has always been of interest to me because of my insane fear of death and dying.
Yes, I'll admit it, I'm a fraidie-cat when it comes to death. The thought has me petrified. So I was excited when I heard that Hollywood producer and writer Arianna Eisenberg would be publishing an uplifting anthology of personal stories of people touched by near death experiences and other miraculous events and ended up making major changes in their lives--for the better.
I appreciated the idea of this book right away. Most of the material I'd read on the subject of death or NDE's in the past, left me feeling a bit unsettled about the after-life. Where we go after we die, that sort of thing. But after studying up on Eisenberg's book and TV project I felt a little bit of peace on the subject.
From Eisenberg's production company website we read:
"The Bible itself is filled with parables and stories, some of the most amazing stories ever written in fact. From the Burning Bush to Sodom and Gomorrah, the story of David and Goliath to Jesus Christ himself rising from the dead only days after his body seemed to die on the cross. Stories of angels and demons, near death and rebirth experiences have followed mankind since His incarnation on this planet...
"With Heaven, Angels and Beyond I seek to not only validate my own experiences but also explore how these same or similar occurrences have affected or touched the lives of others..."
Eisenberg's first subject in the book and television series is our mutual friend and fellow writer Randy Jernigan, whose own near death experience several years back brought him to a life-changing turning point, inspiring him to lose 178 pounds and beat a "perilous case" of diabetes and hypertension that brought him to the brink of certain death.
"When Arianna approached me about this project I was thrilled. Something just clicked inside me. I had already told part of my story in my own book, but there was a huge portion of my own story I had left out. I never really knew why until Arianna explained her project to me and I knew right away I wanted to be a part of it. I'd finally have the chance to tell the rest of my story."
Eisenberg is best known as a film and television producer but is an extraordinary writer as well. Her children's fantasy book Jemiyah Jones and the Kingdom of Nir became an instant best seller upon publication and has become my own daughter's "most favorite story in the whole wide world!"
