One of the greatest television casting debates has finally been put to rest. The choice for The Walking Dead's next big bad has been revealed, and I can't begin to tell you how happy this makes me.

Ladies and Gentlemen, get ready to meet your Negan:

That's right! Papa Winchester himself, Jeffrey Dean Morgan has been cast as Negan on The Walking Dead!

Sources confirm that the current Good Wife actor is joining The Walking Dead as one of the Biggest Bads of ’em all — dreaded comic book villain Negan.

Even if you aren't a fan of the comic book series of the same name, you must have heard about the coming of this crazed man and his baseball bat Lucille. He has a potty mouth that would shame Samuel L. Jackson and a presence that may possibly intimidate Chuck Norris.

Comic creator Robert Kirkman has said in the past that his initial inspiration for the character came from Henry Rollins, and many fans were hoping that casting choice would come to fruition. Names have been bouncing around for a while now, but the chosen one is a bit of a surprise.

Personally, this choice makes me giddy with delight. I'm a big Supernatural fan as well, and seeing the elder Winchester on television again just makes me happy. I think he will fit in well in that version of the apocalypse.

Now we can commence with the next debate: When will Negan appear?

What do you think of Jeffrey Dean Morgan to play the role of Negan on The Walking Dead?
