Although Kate Winslet usually boasts of having a supportive family, we can imagine some rifts were formed when telling her 15-year-old daughter that she's set to have a steamy sex scene with The Hunger Games star, Liam Hemsworth.
During an interview on British topical chat show, The One Show, Winslet revealed that her daughter was 'VERY jealous' of her sexy screen-time with Hemsworth in The Dressmaker. And can you blame her? Nobody wants to hear that their mom is getting up-close-and-personal with one of the hottest men on the planet. I mean, it's just not fair...and, let's be honest, cringe.
Speaking to the shows hosts Nick Grimshaw and Alex Jones, Winslet blushed as she recalled the experience:
"When I told my daughter that I was shooting the scene that day she spluttered...I took it to be jealousy. But I did feel quite bad for Liam.
"He's a sweet guy but I couldn't stop giggling..."
This isn't the first time Winslet has talked openly about the unglamorous reality of shooting sex scenes. Talking to V Magazine back in 2011, she said:
"I hate it. Listen, make no mistake, I just get on it. I just go in and say 'Oh f—' let's do it.' And boom."
"If you complain about it or procrastinate it's not going to go away," she added. "It's a profoundly bizarre thing to do...you can literally be tangled in sheets, and you turn to the other actor and say 'What the f— are we doing?'"
You can imagine quite a few things worse than getting tangled up in the sheets with Liam Hemsworth though, can't you?
The Dressmaker is in theaters now. Check out the trailer below:
