Well today I unwillingly watched this film called The Net, it centers on a computer programmer who gets entangled in a cyber-terrorism group's plot to take out the U.S . The Net stars Sandra Bullock, Jeremy Northam, Dennis Miller, Diane Baker and Wendy Gazelle.
Well for starters I didn't like this film so this review is going to be a bit shorter because this isn't an awful film with a great long list of negatives it's just not good. The only positive that I can think of is that the acting is quite good, Sandra Bullock plays the lead role well. Now for the negatives, which I found to be: Poor plot, bad plot progression, there are a ton of clichés and the film is extremely predictable. The plot of this film is its main problem and where all the other problems root from, the plot is very basic and dull which makes the film boring as the plot points are dragged out. The film is filled with clichés and everything in this film I'd seen before, the script had lots of cheesy lines which were quite unbearable; both of these things made the film very predictable so I wasn't worried about the protagonist and I didn't care for the outcome of the story.
Overall I really didn't like this film, it has good performances but the plot is very dull and unoriginal. So taking everything I have said into consideration I rate this film:
