We were initially told by Davis that the return of Coach Finstock was supposed to be a surprise. "Last I heard from publicity they didn’t want to say anything," he said this afternoon, asking that we hold off on publishing our story.
By this time though, Arden Cho had already tweeted out, “Orny Adams, good seeing you today!!! Jelly you got wrapped early to celebrate your birthday!!! Have fun! Happy Birthday! ”
Our original report suggested this was a mistake on Cho's part. She contacted Teen Wolf News via twitter to set the record straight, "It wasn't a mistake on my part. I just asked him (Jeff) also to reconfirm," she said, "I would love if you rephrase and really appreciate it because I try my best to always keep things under wrap and don't want to spoil anything."
Cho and Cody Saintgnue also posted images of themselves in lacrosse gear giving away the fact that the popular sport will return in the upcoming episodes.
Adams had stepped away from the show for the first 10 episodes due to his busy touring schedule. Word of his return spread quickly on Wednesday and the response was overwhelmingly positive.
Teen Wolf returns to MTV in eight weeks. The second half of Season 5 will mark a new night and time for the series. New episodes will air on Tuesdays at 9pm starting on January 5.
