Batman has had a multitude of animated adaptations over the years, but which is the best? If you had to eliminate all others, except that very special one, which animated movie would it be?

I know which I'd choose:

Batman: Mask Of The Phantasm

Mask of The Phantasm has it all, from the larger than life visuals, to the overall message: can love conquer rage? How long can you let negative emotions like hate and anger control your life? When does justice become revenge?

With a magnificent voice cast, led by fan favorite Kevin Conroy as Bruce Wayne/ Batman, this movie is more than just an origin story. While other animated features like Batman: Year One answer the how and why Bruce donned the cape and cowl, Mask of The Phantasm delivers the motivation...the because, that drives Bruce's quest for justice, while at the same time displaying that his activities as the Dark Knight aren't only addictions, they are inevitable sicknesses.

For me, this movie is Batman's best incarnation and lives within the continuity of Batman: The Animated Series. If you're a Batman fan, be sure to give this one a look.

It receives a 10/10.
