After this week's killer episode of The Flash, my mind was in a whirl. "Enter Zoom" has got to be one of my favorite episodes to date. The episode started off comic and humorous, which nicely paved the way for the darker second half. The episode opens on a what appears to be rather a dark moment, as we see Barry going up against Doctor Light and getting pretty badly beaten. Light then rips the Flash emblem from his chest and disappears into the night. Following the intro, we suddenly see Doctor Light incarcerated in the Pipeline, which didn't exactly match what we had just seen. Doctor Light pleads with Barry to allow her to hide from Zoom, but Barry instead asks to use her as bait to lure Zoom out of hiding. Light informs Barry that her deal with Zoom was for her to throw something of Barry's through the breach as a signal, at which time Zoom would come to confirm the kill and collect the body. Meanwhile, Harry and Cisco are developing a gun to deliver a speed reduction serum to Zoom when he arrives through the breach.

Suddenly, we are treated to an Earth-2 flashback, which shows Wells speaking to his daughter Jesse. She disagrees with her father, who says that Jay is not a hero and Wells' attempts to pacify her end in failure when Jesse storms out of the room. We jump back to Earth-1's CCPD, where Patty eagerly offers Joe suggestions on how to track Doctor Light, but is shut down when Joe informs her that he has closed the case for "reasons". Patty is disappointed and offended that Joe doesn't trust her.

The scene shifts to the newspaper office, where Linda Park confides to Iris that she wants to help the Flash capture her doppelganger, as she was responsible for the death of Iris and Linda's editor. Iris agrees to talk to the Flash about Linda assisting them. Cisco goes to the Pipeline to feed Doctor Light, only to discover that her cell appears to be empty. He opens the door and the now-invisible Doctor Light slips past him and escapes. Realizing what is going on, Cisco sounds the alarm, but not quickly enough to prevent Light's escape. Barry is furious that Light has gotten away, and the team exchanges harsh words about what their next move should be. Barry determines that the best course of action is to disguise Linda as Doctor Light and fake an attack on him to lure Zoom. Joe disagrees, saying that they need to instead locate Jay Garrick, who left S.T.A.R. Labs in a huff after last episode's confrontation with Wells, and ask him for help. Barry is having none of it, and Cisco unsuccessfully attempts to "vibe" Wells, causing Wells to chew him out.

We once again cut to the police station, where Patty admits to Joe that she and Barry kissed, but Joe tells her that he doesn't care, saying that what she does on her own time is between her and Barry. Patty attempts to coerce Joe into explaining why he closed the Doctor Light case, but he refuses to answer her. Barry goes to Iris's house, and is surprised to find Linda there. When she leaves the room, Barry and Iris agree to allow her to help them capture Zoom. Barry returns to S.T.A.R. Labs, and Iris follows with Linda in tow. Once there, Barry appears in costume to explain the situation to Linda. Cisco has developed some very Iron Man-esque gloves for Linda which mimic (on a much smaller scale) Doctor Light's powers.

"Look, guys! I'm Iron Woman!"

At first, Linda proves to be terrible at using her newfound abilities, but eventually she catches on and Barry decides to put her to the ultimate test: trying to fool Zoom. The rest of the team (with the exception of Wells) attempt to dissuade Barry, but he is obsessed with capturing Zoom no matter the odds or consequences, and as such, continues with the plan. Joe confronts Barry, saying that he thinks Barry wants to capture Zoom because Eddie's suicide caused him to lose his chance at vengeance on the Reverse Flash. Barry disagrees adamantly, and the two part ways. Barry suits up and goes to Linda's house to give her a motivational speech when she tells him she can't handle the task Flash wants her to perform. Barry feels bad and tells her she can do it, causing Linda to ask how he can say that when he doesn't even know her. Barry pulls off his mask and proves that he's really bad at the whole keeping-his-secret-identity-a-secret thing.

We jump back to S.T.A.R. Labs, where Cisco "accidentally" causes one of the serum canisters to spill, allowing him to "vibe" Wells when they both touch the canister at the same time. Cisco learns that Jesse is Zoom's prisoner, and Wells chews out Cisco again.

Back at CCPD, Patty confronts Joe about Doctor Light, saying that he has not been honest with her. Joe promises that he will set everything straight in a few days and leaves. Patty is still unhappy, but when Barry arrives, she quickly cheers up. She asks him to dinner, but Barry says he has already made plans with Joe (which actually include that evening's attempt to capture Zoom) and opts to go out with Patty the following night, which she agrees to, although she still feels there is something she's being left out of.

The scene moves forward to Barry's faux battle with Linda. She "defeats" him, and tells Zoom to come for his body. However, when Earth-2's evil speedster turns out to be a no-show, the team is more than a little annoyed with Wells showing the most frustration.

"Come at me, Zoom. Come at me."
"Come at me, Zoom. Come at me."

Barry finally opens up to Joe, telling him that something in the Reverse Flash's final message has been bugging him ever since. He says that Reverse Flash indicated that Barry would never really be happy, and so, in effect, Reverse Flash has actually triumphed after all. He adds that because he didn't save his mother when he had the chance, there is a hole in his heart that will never be filled. Joe tells him that Reverse Flash was just trying to mess with his head one last time and to pursue what makes him happy. Barry promptly heads to the police station and finds Patty, telling her that getting to know her makes him happy.

Back at the newspaper, Linda complains to Iris that she'll never get to write about everything that has been happening, and Iris tells her that it's impossible to get used to. Linda leaves, but as soon as she exits the building, she is grabbed by Zoom. Iris watches in horror and calls Barry. Barry's phone rings just as alarms start going crazy at S.T.A.R. Labs and Wells informs Barry that Linda and Zoom are on the roof. Barry goes to stop him, only for Zoom to drop Linda, and Barry rushes to the ground to catch her. Zoom speeds down and the two have a good old-fashioned staredown, before Barry attempts to throw lightning at Zoom.

Zoom catches the lightning and throws it back, catching Barry in the chest. Wells attempts to intervene with the speed-dampening serum, but Zoom catches it and uses it on Barry. Then he savagely turns to Wells and utters the classic villain one-liner "You're next." Zoom promptly speeds off with a brutalized Barry in tow, going first to the newspaper and afterward the police station, taunting that their hero is not all he was cracked up to be. At the police station, the entire police force open fire on him at the same time, but Zoom catches all of the bullets and scatters them on the floor. Zoom then returns to S.T.A.R. Labs to confront Wells. He rips off the Scarlet Speedster's mask and then stabs him with his clawed fingers. Just as he is about to deliver his final blow, Cisco shoots him with the speed dampener, which only serves to make Zoom run away.

Barry awakens on the S.T.A.R. Labs hospital bed, while Joe is ready to rip Wells apart with his bare hands. Cisco steps in and asks Wells who Jesse is. Wells explains that Jesse is his daughter and that his only goal is to capture Zoom. He further states that he does not want to hurt Barry in any way, but at the same time, he realizes that Barry is useless in the fight against Zoom. Barry asks about Linda and is informed that she is staying with friends in Coast City. Barry attempts to get up, but Cisco and Caitlin push him back down. Suddenly, the Scarlet Speedster utters a very terrifying statement: "I can't feel my legs."
