Ever since I was a kid, I've been the biggest Ant-Man fan and defender.

Now I've never been that much of a Peanuts fan, like I've never read the original comic strips or watched the show, but I did watch all the holiday specials during school when I was little, so it had some nostalgic value to me. Now I went to see this movie late tonight because I didn't want a shitload of kiddies ruining it by running around, talking, and screaming (trust me, it it has happened to me before, it's super distracting). So now that I've watched it, here's what I thought worked and what didn't work.

Good: Now this movie's a very special movie, unlike most cartoon movies that try to put themselves in modern times, this movie stays in the original time that it was in in the comic strips and cartoons, which is nice. It also had a lot of that iconic Charlie Brown music, and you know exactly what I'm talking about! This movie doesn't try to pull that many modern references (which I'll get to in my bad), which is amazing and I applaud it for doing so. Now my favorite thing about this entire film is probably the relationship between Charlie Brown and Snoopy, it so heartwarming and almost had me tearing up at one point because it reminded me of me and my dog! The last thing that I would like to say is the overall feel of this movie was just great, it brought back the great memories of watching the Charlie Brown Christmas and having that warm feeling inside!

Bad: Now I only have three things that stood out to me in this movie. First off is there was a like two or three times where they used these modern pop songs in the movie and it just took me out of the movie. The second one is that there was too many Snoopy Red Baron scenes and it kept taking you out of the story, you could tell that it was added just to fill time. Speaking of filling time, this movie felt waaaay too long, maybe it was because I watched it at 10:00 at night, but it felt like four hours long, they could've cut a lot of those Red Baron scenes and I would have been totally fine.

Overall, I did like this movie, but I wouldn't call it my favorite animated movie of the year so I'm going to give the Peanuts movie a 7/10. If you are a big Charlie Brown fan, than you will adore this movie, but if you're not so much of a fan then you can skip this one, it's not worth your time.
