To close out Moviepilot U, and as my 51st article, I've decided it's time to release my definitive list for underrated superheroes. Why is it the best? Because... well, reasons. Just trust me.

5. The Flash (Barry Allen)

Most comic fans understand his true power, but many remain in the dark about how truly powerful the Scarlet Speedster is. Barry not only outran his own death, he warped the entire DC universe using time travel through sheer speed. He made Superman look like a snail, and in a particular effort, saved an entire city of people in a tiny fraction of a second, carrying them one or two at a time 35 miles outside of the city. I won't show the calculations here, but that puts him around 12.5 or 13 trillion times faster than the speed of light.

4. Mr. Fantastic (Reed Richards)

I've heard "he's just smart and stretchy!" too many times to not include Reed on this. Reed is one of the most powerful men in the universe because of his incredible intelligence. He's solved some of the universe's most difficult problems, and warded off beings like Galactus. If that's not enough, he's got a little device that gives him a one-up against every being in the universe: the Ultimate Nullifier. All he needs to do is activate it to commence total annihilation. So yeah, a little powerful.

3. Wolverine/X-23 (Laura Kinney)

Laura Kinney has one of the most tragic backstories in comics, and that says something in a world filled with dead parents and destroyed planets. The genetic clone of the original Wolverine, Laura has now taken up his costume to continue his legacy as a weapon for mutant-kind. Though she's more well known than some of the list, many people don't understand the depth her character has.

2. Batgirl/Black Bat (Cassandra Cain)

Cassandra Cain is the daughter of David Cain and Lady Shiva, both of whom are League of Assassins members. She was trained from an early age to read body language like you or I read these words. She's fast enough to dodge machine gun bullets at point blank, and makes fighting Batman or Deathstroke look relatively easy. She's arguably the best martial artist in DC, and yet very few people actually know who she is.

1. Wonder Man (Simon Williams)

Okay, maybe I'm a bit biased, but Wonder Man is the most underrated hero in comics. He consistently goes toe to toe with enemies like Hulk, Red Hulk, Hercules, Thor, and more. He once held up an entire island, complete with a mountain, train, and mansion. He's been a long-time Avenger, and has had on-and-off relationships with Carol Danvers and Wanda Maximoff. In fact, Carol called Simon "the best Avenger ever". Pretty high praise.
