We are lucky to be experiencing the greatest era of superhero movies in film history. With hits such as Captain America: The Winter Soldier and The Dark Knight coming out the past decade, movie fans have a lot to be grateful for. Superhero movies haven't always been the standard-bearer for Hollywood, and there have been multiple disasters in the genre. Here are the worst of the worst (in no particular order).

Catwoman (2004)

Do yourself a favor and take a minute or two and watch the above scene. Then take whatever copy of this movie you have (hopefully none) and burn it. Halle Berry is terrible in this movie, and Catwoman is just horrible in every aspect.

Daredevil (2003)

Do yourself a favor and take a minute or two and watch the above scene. Then take whatever copy of this movie you have (hopefully none) and burn it. Ben Affleck is horrible, the plot is horrible, the fight scenes are horrible, and this movie is horrible.

Batman and Robin (1997)

Do yourself a favor and take a minute or two and watch the above scene. Then take whatever copy of this movie you have (hopefully none) and burn it. Bat-Credit cards. Bat-nipples. No entertainment or enjoyment at all.

Green Lantern (2011)

Do yourself a favor and take a minute or two and watch the above scene. Then take whatever copy of this movie you have (hopefully none) and burn it. CGI super suits? Check. Terrible acting? Check. Terrible everything else that makes up the movie? Check. Ya, sorry Ryan. At least you'll have Deadpool!

Fantastic Four (2015)

I think you get the drill by now. If Fantastic Four expects this to be a climactic battle scene, you just know there are problems. And boy, are there problems. This movie makes no sense and spends more than half the plot in a lab without the characters having or using their superpowers. It's not even really a superhero movie but a weird, un-fun sci-fi flick.
