Fangirl extraordinaire.

Supernatural season 11 has a lot of people talking, with the arrival of Amara aka The Darkness it seems the boys have limited options to defeat her.
As we learned in the last episode Amara is God's brother who he sacrificed in order to begin the process of creation as we know it, so it's obvious she is quite powerful, God as his archangels are the only people who know how to defeat her and they may be the brothers only option.

We know someone is communicating with Sam and sending him visions, but are they visions of the past, present or future? We know we have seen the cage, but is that a reminder of what Sam went through when he was in hell, or was it someone trying to show him what they needed to defeat Amara? And why are Sam's psychic abilities returning now after so many seasons? We know God abandoned heaven but we don't know where he went or if he is still alive, is he the one sending Sam visions? It would make perfect sense, if he is still around, that he would be sending Sam these visions, possibly telling him that they need to release Michael and Lucifer from the cage. They are the strongest of the archangels and fought along God's side the last time Amara was around, so they may be the best option.

That's a really small cage..

The upside to them being released is we get Lucifer back, one of the most loved villians in SPN history, and Michael, who happens to be in Adam Milligan's body (Maybe the writers didn't forget about him after all!), and finally HOPEFULLY we will finally get to see God, or if we have already seen him ( *cough* Chuck *cough*) then hopefully we will finally get confirmation of who he really is.

How can he not be God?

The questions that remain are where do Crowley and Cas come into play? Crowley could be the one who actually does the deed and lets them out of hell, it seems Amara is getting out of hand and he is realizing he bit off a little more than he could chew, just like Demon Dean. He could free them to help gain back control, but then again doing that will most likely ensure he loses his title of King of Hell once Lucifer returns.

Cas could also be the one who lets them out, but I honestly don't see that happening, I think he will be more on the cautious side, trying to convince the boys its a terrible idea.

What are your ideas? How do you think the boys will defeat the Darkness? And who would you like to see return to help them?
