Theories are easy to come by, and they are coming on daily basis. Everyday we get to see new and new stories behind The Zoom. But we really don't know which of them gonna fit and what we'll be watching in the coming episodes of Flash Season 2, so I thought I would take what’s been revealed in the show, along with the decades of Flash mythology from the comics, and offer my own.

The Black Flash fulfills the role of Death for those who possess super-speed. It returns them to the source of their powers i.e. the Speed Force. When a speedster is close to death (whether ill, risking absorption into the Speed Force, or taking on too dangerous a challenge), the Black Flash appears as a harbinger of their demise. It was seen before the deaths of Barry Allen, Johnny Quick and Max Mercury.

The Black Flash first appeared in Flash Vol 2 #138 in June, 1998.

Here I'm having a story of Black Flash from comics, which I read on Wikia.

It came for Wally West to draw him back to the Speed Force, but instead took Linda Park, Wally's girlfriend, into the Speed Force. It later returned to try and take Wally again, freezing time except for those who possessed a connection to the Speed Force. Max Mercury, Jay Garrick, and Jesse Quick all attempted to assist Wally by distracting the Black Flash; Wally finally defeated the Black Flash by racing it to the end of time, to a point where Death would have no meaning, causing it to dissipate.

Why Black Flash can be ZOOM?

It can be Black Flash i.e Zoom is out to kill every speedster he comes across; means it’s hard to ignore the theory.

Why Black Flash can NOT be ZOOM?

It is not clear whether the Black Flash exists because the speedsters are simply too fast for traditional Death to capture, or as some sort of bizarre side-effect to their connection to the Speed Force. We do not know if it really is a human being underneath that suit or just a illusion.

So what do you think? You'll go with this theory or not?
