Selena Gomez has had quite the year, from battling body shamers, revealing her struggles with lupus and being constantly quizzed about her break-up with Justin Bieber, to revelling in fresh starts and the release of her album 'Revival.'
And now it seems that the little starlet has decided to take the meaning of starting over to another level by selling her house in California. Yet sadly, the reason is more drama-filled than you might have thought.
It appears that Selena has decided to sell her house due to the fact that over the last 1.5 years, she has been tormented by a stalker. Reportedly, just a few days after she moved in, an unknown man entered the property while she was at home! Several days later, the same 21-year-old trespasser returned and was seen creeping about in her guesthouse.
Luckily this time he was arrested and sentenced to 45 days in jail for entering her home unauthorized.
Yet it seems that even now, with her stalker locked up and forbidden to set foot anywhere near her, Selena still doesn't feel safe in the comfort of her own home. Over the last weeks, she reportedly called 911 a number of times, convinced there was someone lurking in her house. Paranoid or not, her reason for moving, quite frankly, is fair enough!
Just the other week, she listed the 7,700 square foot Calabasas mansion for the asking price of $4.5 million. She bought the six bedroom, seven bathroom property for $3.7 million in 2014 and has since shared it with roommates. Here are some pics of the stunning Mediterranean house:
So far, we don't know where she is moving and as far as her 2016 tour schedule suggests, it's unlikely she will be purchasing a new million-dollar home anytime soon. Either we wish her the best of luck in all of her future endevours!
