Even before X-men: Days of Future Past hited the theaters last year, 20th Century Fox revealed their schedule for upcoming Marvel movies. Of course it had X-men: Apocalypse, Fantastic four 2 (who surprisingly is still going forward, got to give them credit for trying), Wolverine 3, and they also announced that there was an X-Force script in development. Apperantly they also announced that there would be another movie in 2018, but they just didn't say what it was.

Since they announced that schedule, there we're a few changes, as we all know it. Deadpool was announced for February of 2016. Channing Tatum got his so wanted Gambit role, also in 2016 (now pushed back to 2017). The X-Force doesn't have any news and now we learned that there is another X-Men movie coming in 2018.

In my opinion it was a blessing for them to bring Bryan Singer back to the franchise, and it was probably that, that made it such a huge hit last year. X-men: Days of Future Past, changed everything about the franchise and now, litterally anything can happen since the past was changed. Speaking of the past, Bryan Singer said that next year, X-men: Apocalypse won't just be the biggest X-men movie to date, but will also be the movie that ends and restarts the X-men franchise as we know it. Wich in my opinion, since Hugh Jackman want's to retire his Wolverine, might be a good time to say goodbye to his character in the X-men franchise before we say goodbye to him in Wolverine 3.

There’s already a rumor that James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender have both signed on for a fourth X-Men

As it seem's Fox is planning to release Marvel movies each year from now on, and as long as none of them is like the last Fantastic Four movie i'm all up for it. I'm even looking forward to see the sequel to the Fantastic Four movie to see if they learned the mistakes they made with this last one. Because they must have, right? Or why would they wan't to continue the story?
