Days before Marvel's Jessica Jones drops in full on Netflix, an official first look at Marvel's Luke Cage, the third series in a five-project deal between Marvel and Netflix, has been released.
First arriving on Twitter via the official Daredevil account, the caption reads: "Looks like there's a new watering hole in Hell's Kitchen."
At only sixteen seconds, the clip shows hints that Luke Cage will be opening a new bar similar to Josie's, the bar that Daredevil's Matt Murdock frequented with Foggy Nelson and Karen Page. We've already seen clips of Luke working at a bar in Jessica Jones. Is it possible that he's already opened his business? It's a theory that seems plausible.
Aside from the first look, tweets have also surfaced of Luke Cage's Mike Colter hard at work on the project.
The official description for Marvel's Luke Cage reads:
After a sabotaged experiment leaves him with super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) becomes a fugitive trying to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem, New York City. But he is soon pulled out of the shadows and must fight a battle for the heart of his city--forcing him to confront a past he had tried to bury.
Developed by Cheo Hodari Coker and starring Mike Colter in the title role, Marvel's Luke Cage is set to hit Netflix screens in 2016, alongside Marvel's Daredevil season 2.
