Even as an adult, I find Mufasa's death incredibly harrowing. I will still bawl like the little four-year-old I was when The Lion King first came out back in 1994. One might not think that you could get emotionally attached to animated characters, but think again: You can.
If this scene didn't hit you right in the feels, you must be a robot or have an empty space where your heart should be.
Thankfully Mufasa is back and guiding his furry little ancestors from the heavens. Most importantly, James Earl Jones will be reprising his incredibly famous voice for the role in The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar.
This clip below gives us a sneak peak into the world of Kion, Nala and Simba's second born cub, who seeks advice from his deceased grandfather in the sky.
The Lion Guard tells the story of Kion and friends who act like a superhero team to preserve and protect the Pride Lands. Included in the cast is Rob Lowe, Gabrielle Union, Atticus Shaffer, Sarah Hyland, Ernie Sabella, and Max Charles as Kion.
The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar will roar its way to the Disney Channel on November 22. I might not have baby siblings to use as an excuse to watch animated kid films, but I have no shame in my roaring game.
