Just a few days ago some god awful posters for a film called Gods Of Egypt dropped online, and now an equally as awful full length trailer has hit the web, take a look:

So....I really don't have a lot of words to describe this trailer, it just looks abysmal. For a start....there's yet more white people cast as Egyptian characters, just last year there was the big outrage over Exodus: Gods & Kings starring Christian Bale and Joel Edgerton and now we have Scotsman Gerard Butler (London Has Fallen) and the Danish Nikolaj Coster Waldau (Game Of Thrones), both capable actors...but Egyptians? Maybe not.

What surprises me is the director, Alex Proyas is known for some decent films such as The Crow, Dark City and I, Robot, but this looks like a straight to DVD feature.

Of course when the film comes out I will give it a fair chance and who knows....it could be fun, but for know I'm more than unimpressed. Of course most CGI visual effects look better up on the big screen but these visual effects look so outdated they're embarrassing.

I'm all up for some good dumb fun, but this just looks lazy and completely incompetent. Please let me know your thoughts on this trailer down in the comments or on Twitter @JamesPorter97
