With a pair of cat-eye sunglasses and the Hollywood sign on the horizon, Marvel's Agent Carter Season 2 is officially on it's way. In the upcoming season, Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) moves to Los Angeles at the peak of its golden age, with her friend Daniel Sousa serving as her new boss—and of course, the faithful and sarcastic Jarvis (James D'Arcy) at her side.
As a New York to Los Angeles transplant, I'm extremely excited to see how Peggy—who is from England originally—reacts to the wild new world of the west coast. While the two cities are very different now than in the '40s, it might be interesting to see a little culture shock.
At the end of the first season, Peggy bid a final farewell to former beau Steve Rogers, a.k.a. Captain America. It's so hard to let go of lost love, but now it looks like Peggy is moving onward, and into seemingly dangerous new territory with Jason Wilkes (Reggie Austin), who is described as "a quirky yet charismatic scientist who instantly charms Peggy." Heck yes, smart guys!
The Partner and his Wife
James D'Arcy returns as Edwin Jarvis (with Dominic Cooper guest starring as Howard Stark once again), and with the move to Los Angeles, Jarvis' wife Ana will be joining the cast. Ana (Lotte Verbeek) is described as a free-spirited woman who immediately befriends Peggy and helps her to adjust to life in Los Angeles.
... And Even More Action Than Before
The breathtaking fight scenes and high-octane action that made Season 1 such a thrill-ride will return, and in even greater capacity, for Season 2. The trailer is practically a reel on display, showing off the best of Peggy's training in action, with her quick wit and surefire fist (or elbow, in some cases) guiding her.
Season 2 of [Marvel's Agent Carter](tag:1119765) premieres on January 5th at 9pm on ABC.
