Everyone is getting excited for [X-Men: Apocalypse](tag:1194267) after the critically acclaimed Days of Future Past. One of the bright spots from DoFP was Evan Peters's outstanding performance as Quicksilver. Say what you will about the film, even if you don't like it there is no doubt Evan Peters was absolutely outstanding. He brought such a great energy to the film and brought a whole new dynamic to the action sequences.
One of the best scenes of the film was Quicksilver's battle against the Pentagon guards. The slow motion was used to perfection and it was really a solid gold scene. With Evan Peters returning for X-Men: Apocalypse, many fans have wondered if we will be getting a similar scene, and now, Evan Peters may have just made our hopes a reality!
We are getting another AMAZING Quicksilver scene!
In a sit down with Collider, Evan Peters elaborated on what we could expect from Quicksilver in Apocalypse, specifically on if we will see the return of the infamous slow motion scene!
"Yeah, Quicksilver does his thing again, in the new film. It’s bigger, longer and more detailed. I think it’s an amazing sequence that they’ve put together. Just filming it, I was like, “Oh, my god!” I think we shot for 22 days of second unit, working on the sequence, which is amazing. It’s so cool to take that much time to make something like that really pop and really work. Knock on wood, I think it’s going to be a fun and enjoyable sequence for people to watch, with Quicksilver running around and doing his thing in slow-mo time. I hope people like it."
Man, I can't even describe to you how excited this makes me! The Quicksilver scene mentioned is easily one of my favorite scenes in any superhero film to date! The fact that we are getting another scene similar to the Days of Future Past one, but even better, should make any X-Men fan jump for joy!
If you could save time in a bottle, what would be the first thing you would do?
