Nicolas Cage is easily one of the Internet's favorite targets for a good laugh. With over 60 acting credits to his name, he's thankfully provided the world with enough reactions, facial expressions, and emotions to fit practically any situation. Thus, making him ripe for meme-ing purposes.
As much as we all like to joke around with him and his love of stealing the Declaration of Independence, the Ghost Rider actor recently used his fame for a great purpose: Helping this man find his missing stepdaughter.
While filming his upcoming movie Dog Eat Dog in Cleveland this week, Nicolas Cage was approached by Britt Ramsey who, with the help of a community activist, snuck onto the set to meet him.
Knowing that the actor's face generally spreads quickly through the Internet, he asked Cage if he would pose with the missing poster for his 15-year-old stepdaughter, Alexis 'Lexi' Boroviak. The Brooklyn, Ohio teen went missing on November 8th, 2015.
Not only did Nicolas Cage happily pose for a photo with Ramsey, but he also told him he would do anything he could to help find Alexis. Ramsey's risky move paid off as it has garnered more media attention towards Alexis' case.
On Monday, Brooklyn Police Chief Scott Mielke announced that Alexis may have left home on her own accord. As "she had clearly informed friends and extended family members of her intention" but not disclosed a location, this may be considered a runaway situation.
In any case, it's always great to see celebrities using their fame for a good cause. We hope Alexis is safe and returns home to her loved ones soon.
If you have any information regarding Boroviak’s whereabouts, please call the Brooklyn Police Department at 216-749-1234.
