Hulu has always been a great source for streaming the latest TV, but only now are they really starting to come into their own with releasing original programming.

With Difficult People, Casuals, and the freshly acquired Mindy Project, I'm becoming increasingly inclined to bite the bullet and finally purchase a subscription. Their upcoming release, 11.22.63, might just be what finally does me in.

Based on Stephen King's 2011 novel of the same name, 11.22.63 tells the story of an English teacher (James Franco), sent back in time to thwart the assassination of John F. Kennedy, only to find that he's mysteriously attached to this past world.

Check out the first official trailer starring James Franco below:

King is working on the project as an executive producer alongside J.J. Abrams, Bridget Carpenter and Bryan Burk and directed by Academy Award winner, Kevin Macdonald (Last King of Scotland).

11.22.63 also stars Chris Cooper, Josh Duhamel, T.R. Knight, Cherry Jones, Sarah Gadon, Lucy Fry, George MacKay, and Daniel Webber. Stopping the assassination of President Kennedy sounds like a daunting task on its own, but it might be the least of James Franco's worries.

'11.22.63' will be released as an eight-part series starting on Presidents Day, Feb. 15, 2016.
