Many of us Tarantino die hard's are excited for The Hateful Eight! Quentin's biggest inspiration are western TV shows where big screen faces would be set as Outlaws and put into a claustrophobic room and wait till the climax.
But what if Tarantino's film was remake for sec and it the original film was set in the great sixties and seventies the golden age of Western's!
That idea does sound great but who would star as the infamous Hateful Eight?
Fan Casting The Hateful Eight!
Lee Van Cleef as Major Marquis Warren "The Bounty Hunter"
Lee Van Cleef has always been that silent killer. A bounty hunter in For A Few Dollars More, lawman in The Magnificent Seven Ride and a soldier in Captain Apache and also For a Few Dollars More. Sam Jackson's Warren and Lee Van Cleef share the same kind of occupation
Richard Boone as John "The Hangman" Ruth
Richard Boone has a quick temper in some films and would make a good Ruth, he's got the handlebar stache. You can see him lose his temper for a quick moment in The Alamo, and Against A Crooked Sky
Claudia Cardinale as Daisy Domergue "The Prisoner"
Claudia Cardinale and Jen Leigh are equally beautiful and Claudia stared as a prosperous woman in Once Upon a Time in the West and a runaway in The Professionals
Michael Landon as Chris Mannix "The Sheriff"
Michael Landon is that sweet innocent boy you wouldn't ever want to hurt, he's already a young deputy in Bonanza and after his wondrous deeds in the show it's time to promote him to a sheriff
Pedro Armendáriz, Jr. as Mexican Bob
Pedro in The Magnificent Seven Ride was a crazed and dangerous mexican killer. although he is an underated actor he would be my first choice and with a small budget Pedro would come in.
Robert Vaughn as Oswaldo Mulberry "The Little Man"
Robert Vaughn is that guy who dresses his best even though it's not Sunday, you would think he's wealthy and self centered , Vaughn would definitely play Oswaldo
George Kennedy as Joe Gage "The Cowpuncher"
George Kennedy is as cool as Madsen himself, he was a crazed killer in Cahill: Us Marshal and the Sons of Katie Elder but is also calm such as Guns of the Magnificent Seven and Joe Gage seems calm.
Jack Palance as Sandy Smithers "The Confederate"
Palance is a rebel especially for his younger roles like Shane and stared as the leader of a posse who was a Confederate in Chatos Land.
Bonus: The Director(s)
Sturges is famous for many Magnificent classics such as The Magnificent Seven, The Great Escape, Gunfight at the OK Corral and Hour of the Gun. The Hateful Eight would become timeless classic
Another classic director made little underrated films you wouldn't know of such as The Dollars Trilogy, and Once Upon a Time in the West. The film would be totally suspenseful through out and a violent climax
