Kylo Ren is probably my favorite thing about the upcoming movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens. I just love his design, his lightsaber, and his all around chilling attitude.

Be still my beating heart.

One thing I don't agree with him on is his adoration of Darth Vader. Yes, folks, you have met one of the few that don't like the iconic character.

Maybe you can hear me out first before hating me?

Darth Vader is very iconic and I do admit that there is a reason he is remembered. But I've always seen him as a dog on Emperor Palpatine's leash. You can be afraid of a dog, but you're always afraid of its master more.

Why?

Because no matter how dangerous the dog is, the master is the one controlling it. The master is the one who can stop it from killing you.

So, suffice it to say that I was never really afraid of Darth Vader. Respectful, sure, but not terrified.

I was hoping that the prequels could help change my mind on the matter. I would've loved to see Anakin in a new light and have a reason to be afraid.

But what we got was a whiny little baby that cried when he turned to the Dark Side.

So...those didn't help my opinions of the character out at all.

There is a theory going around that Kylo Ren is a clone of Anakin Skywalker. I think that is plausible.

If that is the case...hopefully Kylo is the better Anakin.

What do you think of Darth Vader?

Star Wars: The Force Awakens comes to theaters in the US on December 18.
