As an avid FPS gamer, I had to get my hands on a copy of Call of Duty Black Ops 3. Given how Black Ops 1 and 2 were my favorite COD games, I had high hopes for the third installment. I would say it not only reached my expectations, but exceeded them. Black Ops 3 has some awesome new additions and improvements on the most beloved aspects of the game.
Here they are!
Extensive Character Customization
My favorite thing about Black Ops 3 was the newly added extensive customization. The new feature of changing your character, known as "specialists" was a great addition. I love the idea of customizing your character to your own personal likeness in a game. Reaper and Spectre are my two picks.
The Reaper is known as the almost mythical battlefield machine and is rarely seen in battle due to its effectiveness of getting the job done quickly and getting out. His customization options include changing his model and colors.
Next to nothing is known about Spectre, let alone the identity or gender of this specialist. Its precision killing techniques and ability to remain unseen show high levels of training. Players are able to change Spectre's colors, armor, and the infamous mask.
Improved Fast-Paced Multiplayer
Treyarch utilizes the advanced frames per second speed and power of the PS4 and Xbox One. They do so by making an extremely fast paced yet fluid combat experience. The use of futuristic combat tools such as high tech weapons and jet jumps shows how exhilarating fast paced FPS can be.
Improved Zombie Game-play and Backstory
The Zombie aspect of Call of Duty is the favorite among many fans. A new feature they added is the idea of a backstory to add meaning to playing zombies in COD. The story takes place in a 1940s fictional city, and takes on a Noir-type look to add a new experience. Needless to say, zombies in previous Black Ops have been close to perfect and this new addition was a solid move.
Overall, Call of Duty Black Ops 3 is a kick ass addition to the franchise. Call of Duty Black Ops 3 is out on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Microsoft Windows now! Get it here!
