Good news for all iZombie fans out there!

The CW Network show has officially been picked up for an additional six episodes for its second season. While a full season is yet to be confirmed, it shows that the network believes in the series and is willing to take a risk. Fingers crossed the risk is worth it and we'll eventually see the six episodes turn into a whole season, because iZombie sounds like a lot of fun.

A medical student who becomes a zombie joins a Coroner's Office in order to gain access to the brains she must reluctantly eat so that she can maintain her humanity but every brain she eats, she also inherits their memories and must now solve their deaths with help from the Medical examiner and a police detective.

If you're into crime-solving zombies, this is definitely the show for you, not to mention that it has a respectable 8/10 score on IMDb. The show is created by Diane Ruggiero and Rob Thomas, who have previously worked together on Veronica Mars, so if you liked that show but felt it wasn't horrific enough, make sure to give iZombie a watch.

If you're feeling curious, here is a trailer for the first season.
