Guardians of the Galaxy is perhaps the most successful Marvel film critically to date. Many cited that Chris Pratt's perfectly timed humor as one of the things that made this film stand out from the rest. While other Marvel films have had bits of humor thrown in, and some actually make for some memorable moments, they simply weren't on the level of dry humor that Guardians of The Galaxy had.

One of the next Marvel films, [Thor: Ragnarok](tag:956858), is set to release in 2017 and Marvel's other Chris, Chris Hemsworth thinks that his next Thor film could borrow some of the elements uses in Guardians of The Galaxy!

Thor: Ragnarok to have GOTG-Esque humor?

While promoting his film The Heart of The Sea, Hemsworth discussed what he would like to see in Thor: Ragnarok!

"I think [Thor 3] needs to be injected with that sort of smart wit and unexpected kind of humor, kind of what James Gunn came in and did with Guardians [Of The Galaxy]. It was like off center and unpredictable, and I think we can definitely use a dose of that, you know?"

So with Mark Ruffalo joining up with the God of Thunder, Chris Hemsworth is looking for a bit more humor in Thor 3. James Gunn proved to us that such a thing is possible, especially when you are battling it out in space! With Thor being a different type of hero however, would a more light hearted approach work well?

Would more humor work with Thor: Ragnarok?

Thor is definitely a much darker franchise that Guardians of The Galaxy. With Thor having many Shakespearian elements it may be hard to have the same level of humor that a Guardians of The Galaxy may have. Chris Hemsworth however believes in director Taika Waititi's ability to pull such a thing off.

"I feel we had less of the sort of the naivety or fun or humor that the first [Thor] might have had. I wish we had more of that in the second [movie] … We’ve done regal. We’ve done Shakespeare, and we’ve shown that. I think now it’s time to go, 'Ok, cool. Let’s try something different,' and Taika just had such a brilliant sort of take and funny kind of ideas about where we could [go], how we could do that."

It is very interesting to think that Thor: Ragnarok will bring a new found sense of humor to the screen. It would be a pretty fun dynamic to bring to the screen with Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo. I think think it could really work giving the fact that Thor and Hulk have a bit of a love/hate relationship. Only time will tell if this would work but I know I am really excited to see Thor: Ragnarok!

Do you think more humor would work in Thor: Ragnarok?
