Hey moviepilot, I'm back with another ranking article. Today, I decided that, as we get closer to the release of Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens, As you all know, I am notorious for rage inducing, unpopular rankings. If you don't believe me, the check out my DC & Marvel movie rankings. Just remember that this is my opinion. Also, potential spoiler warning for those who haven't seen the previous episodes, which if you haven't go watch them!!! LEAVE AND GO WATCH NOW!! Still with me, Let's go!

6. Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace

This is one is rather obvious. The film is very boring. The big fight at the end is very cluttered, while the lightsabers were cool. The battle withe Maul at the end was anticlimactic and unsatisfying. Overall, this movie is just a stain on Star Wars' record.

5. Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back

This film suffers from many of the same issues The Phantom Menace does. The plot drags in the middle and gets boring. The beginning's Hoth battle is very awesome, but takes to long to get to. The final confrontation with Luke and Vader is iconic, but poorly executed. The conclusion of the fight is alright, the twist ending being common knowledge now (I was, however, unaware, when I first viewed the film). The cliffhanger ending was a decently good ending, I'll give the film that. It also gave us Yoda, so that's good.

4. Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones

Hayden Christiansen doesn't entirely suck. He plays Anakin well, at least to me. The Padme & Skywalker romance, whole awkward, makes sense. Obi-Wan Kenobi is the highlight of the film. Ewan McGregor's performance is perfect. Jango Fett has the coolest bounty hunter suit ever and the super battle droids are terrifying (so are the monsters). Count Dooku is one my favorite Siths ever. The arena battle is awesome and the ending is awesome. The film is a CGI filled treat from start to finish. Plus, CGI Yoda & Sam L. Jackson's Mace Windu are awesome.

3. Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope

The film is beautiful from start to finish. The beginning drags a little long. The lightsaber fight between Obi-Wan & Darth Vader is really lame and whimpy. Other than that, this is a near-perfect film.

2. Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi

This film's beginning is the best. It's a long, yet brilliantly executed start. The middle on Endor, while slightly overdrawn, is acceptable. The end is epic, featuring the best lightsaber battle to ever be witnessed from the original trilogy. I believe it's the best of the original trilogy.

and the rage inducing winner...

1. Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith

The story is brilliant. In one film, the franchise is tied together in epic fashion. There is no part of the story that feels long or boring. The action sequences are the greatest, including an epic space battle, a stand-off with Grevious, & the greatest lightsaber battle of all time, the battle of Mustafar. The ending doesn't feel overdue or abrupt. The timing is perfect. It's the best of the six.
